The takeaway: our work gets results.
Addressing EL student outcomes head-on
An additional research study was completed in 2018 by doctoral candidates at California State University, Channel Islands, and California State University, Fresno, assessing the effectiveness of The English Learner Group’s work in directly improving the performance and achievement of English Learners in client schools and districts.
Principles we implement in our work
Professional development is embedded within the teacher’s learning in a day-to-day context of their own classroom.
It is subject-content focused.
The focus is on student learning.
It has active participation by all involved.
It is aligned and coherent with a district and site mission, vision, direction.
It is collaborative and collective in nature.
It is ongoing and sustainable.
All of the above elements are integral aspects of The English Learner Group’s daily work in service to our client districts.
